I am having one of those weeks....2 steps ahead, 1.5 back adding an injury along with those steps.The diet plan...scrapped because of a raging case of gastritis....wait a minute, I think it still might be a diet. The exercise plan...gone, since I dislocated my knee while sleeping 2 weeks ago but.....I tried on bathing suits on Tuesday, heart rate increased to 600ish, broke into a sweat and had muscle fatigue for 3 days following so I'm saying I have worked out. You have GOT TO think positively.

The reason he needs a low rise pant is for all the stuff he puts in his pockets...oh and that is
also why a 26 leg works for him because of the stuff pulling the pants lower.

Peachland and peace

Lovely day yesterday, taking my BFF on a surprise jaunt to the town where sanity lives. lunch at the Blind Angler...shared a garlic brie burger, followed by a Chai Latte and raspberry tart at the Coffee Bistro and shopping, shopping, shopping. A little shop carried luschious worked silver by an artist from Israel...simple, edgy...loved it and only $595.00 and up.Great quasi religious pieces....Myrle was looking at various crosses in silver and brass and I bought a card saying..."DO I LOOK LIKE AN F...NG PEOPLE PERSON? Lovely day.....

So NOT easy!

Honestly, I am exhausted. The initiate participate month is not going to be an easy fit for me. Out of 7 days last week, I participated in 7 and initiated 6. This week I am 5 for 5 so far...and frankly exhausted and tired of talking and listening and if that makes me a bad person so be it...black ball me but do it quietly and from a distance. I have just finished reading a very cool book called The Shack by Wm Paul Young...a surprise and a revelation. I have been hearing a bit about it in various literary writeups but did not expect the personal joy and relevance it would have for me.Don't read it LJ, you will hate it, but others be strong, persevere and give it a try.

Clarice and Clyde did not get the memo about the early season start-up and were still in full date mode....until the balls started to whiz by. What you don't see is the flying feathers and squawk as a ball hit poor Clarice and sent the 2 love birds on their way.

How did the Initiate...Participate day go in Peachland etc???? I thought I did well in a laconic, inarticulate sort of way. Organic Dude, felt I true to our family name bought high and sold low.....though they did say they wanted all and more but not until the goose dew is off the beaches....so....I must return then....again...sigh!

Oscar Nite

Yea!!! Oscar Nite begins in the morning with a lovely bubble bath, shampoo,manicure and facial. Preparation of the Academie Snacks follows with a trip to T Bones for ribs, M/M's for Maple Walnut icecream and the Deli for Bean Salad and fresh croissants. I think I will start with a small Ameretto on ice and open the Shiriz to breath, whip the cream for the Spanish Coffee and lay out the hand dipped Bernard Caillibot chery brandy chocolates.....

Initiate...Participate

Today, I stepped into the fire. Armed with the new business cards, labeled Toe Thongs and assorted beaded trinkets that would make a Gypsy gasp, I headed off to Peachland and Summerland to test the beach market. Feeling like wine would have been best at 9:30 AM, I took a Gravol instead to calm my nervous, nauseous stomach and began to initiate and participate. It feels like the world has become bereft of chocolate and I am faced with a huge dish of fresh sprouts to tie me over....in other words I am entering hell.

March Challenge

March....WTH, I loved February's less is more so have made it a permanent change in my life as I did with January's service challenge. Not so bad once you make a start at it.

That is my March challenge. If you know me, you are still laughing in disbelief as I am in my own words somewhat of an introvert. A loner, shy, a fringe dweller. This might be the hardest challenge to date....so standby and be amazed.

It has been brought to my attention that Madonnart has been remiss in posting this last 2 weeks. I believe I was in the Olympic slump, had turned to stone while sitting in front of the TV, still clicking like a mad person trying to find my men speed skaters.
