Business cards, Part 2
Just taking the polymer clay from the oven and trying the photo transfer of my business card on it...voila polymer cards. I liked the metal tag idea and have dug out the thousands of blank copper tags to play with. I'm thinking a script Madonnart Studio with a clear Dymo sticker on back with my info on it, or using the metal letter stamp for the studio name, and a beaded loop through the tag hole to attach to the jewlery or gift bags..anyway wish you were here Sarah, I need some help, and besides this is so fun!

The Art of the perfect business card
So much harder than it sounds. It must be informative...tell what I do, where to find me doing it and how to contact me so I can do it for you. Then it would be bonus if it was quirky in an artsy kind of way and could be used on the back of a painting or to hang jewelry...oh and let the dog out. IDEA PEOPLE....I need some help here.

Loving the mens speedskating
Like thousands of Canadians we have become true fans of the Olympics. Organic Dude even woke me to watch Mens Speed Skating finals yesterday. Dear delusion man, does not get that I am in it just for the mind altering, get out the bifocals, stand and raise my hand in witness of the greatness that is creation visual (skin tight body suits). Do I hear an AMEN.......

The Misunderstood Flan
Again last night I found myself defending the beauty and versatility of the undervalued fruit flan
Somewhat healthy, somewhat intoxicating (I add cointreau to the glaze and serve with whiskey whipped cream)and scoring 3/10 on the effort scale and 10/10 on the impressive scale this recipe is a keeper....Laurie!

True Blue
Amazing....I'm back in the studio working on 3 projects at once....that's when I feel the best... moving between things. Finished this sterling silver and blue herringbone corded necklace quickly, probably because I am also working on the Dream in Blue canvases
and they seem to run into each other. Having a happy day....the Man has gone out with a healthy friend to do some health counselling and Leonard and I are playing with art while dancing to the end of love....peace out peeps.

Good Times
Remember the days we challenged the Post Office to deliver the mail....good times. Feeling nostalgic tonight and missing the art time shared with my girl and the late nights in the Sweat Shop. Click on pic to enlarge to read message. Piece measures 22 inches tall and it got delivered unscathed.

The Opera that is my rest
Somewhere between the time I go to sleep and HE comes to bed is the prelude to a dream. It begins with the awareness of a large object dropping off a ledge centimeter by millisecond.....HIS leg moving from a bent position to straight...bit...by....bit until I reach the near point of chopping it off with the large saw I should keep by the bed....oh yes and the sounds that accompany it.Mud wrestlers make less gurgles and sizzles. Still one could get used to that until it stops... and the high pitched whistling begins. The little black dog has tried everything from groaning, barking and finally flopping her whole body on top of HIS head...but it continues now for a split second stopping giving the wakeful false hope it has ended. I start to cough, hoping HIS germaphobia will kick in and he will turn over pulling the blessed pillow and quilt over his head. It is 5:45 AM. Score 5 hrs for him 25 minutes for Dula and I.

Pink is still my #!
What I would give....Dula hide....to see Pink in concert. This Grammy performance was so classy, quiet, beautiful.
Less is more plus.....more
Forgot to mention ....in addition to my February less is more challenge is the hard part......not purchasing anything other than food, gas and life sustaining medical items and this will not include chocolate, ice cream, salt and vinegar potato chips or.......gasp!!!! coffee. So, are we still on?

Challenge for February; Less Is More
I have come from a long line of overachievers be it in my work life or in the manic manner I prepared for the Millennium Crises, remember that? Sadly I am still apparantly preparing. SO....My challenge for February is LESS IS MORE or the art of reorganizing and downsizing.Implementing my NO FEAR commitment to 2010, I will begin to go though all that I claim ownership of and have power over and keep only what is needed in the now. So goodbye my numerous small boxes and cute but useless mini plastic jars and containers, you are soon to be Salvation Army fodder.I leave you with these thoughts and ask again ARE YOU IN??
Fear less, hope more; Eat less, chew more; Whine less, breathe more; Talk less: say more; Love more, and all good things will be yours”
