Goodbye Marie my teacher and friend
She lifts her face to the morning sun, trusting that it will warm her. She raises her arms to the afternoon winds, knowing that they will transport her. She opens her heart to the birds winging across the sky, understanding that they are her sisters. She smiles at her precious daughter who has given her this gift of dieing in her own home; protected in her arms and she surrenders in grace.

Confused, bemused,....fused!
Yup, I have come to terms with the state of the now. Productivity depends on the state of the bones...state of the head...state of the man and his dog...state of my friendly Italian neighbour,.. state of the weather and OMG state of my mood. I am in throws of the post Easter Solstice. A time of restless crankiness. Some people should take heed and be very afraid. The good news is I am off to visit my precious ones so the homefront may be safe.

Cardboard, glue gun, duct tape. Problem solved
I have skillfully procrastinated the building of a curtain for the long narrow window above the patio door in my bedroom. There is a deadly morning light that blazes in this window, disturbing the rest of the man and his dog. Yesterday I built this decor masterpiece, using my favorite supplies...glue, cardboard, duct tape, rice paper and silk brocade fabric...it...is...fabulous...delicately beautiful to blend with the oriental decor that is our boudoir and terribly functional for the vampire duo.

Spring
It is spring. Tulips, shrubs, fruit trees are all starting to open. this morning upon opening my eyes I saw the newest addition to our family. a nest of Finches busily building, gluing and stacking a nest on the outside blind. Did they not see the assorted Barneys (stuffed animals) neatly lined up beside them? Last year they were afraid this year the Barneys are family and tomorrow all will be history
