Bellissimo

Laugh, how we laughed, ate until I thought I would require a crane to load me into the plane; and did WE drink!!! Walked miles, the Apean Way, Collusium, Forum, Circus Maximus, Vatican City,shopping....bellissimo. The Westin Excellsor was gorgeous, Madonna and the kids wern't in residence but do stay THERE, as well as little old us.....and then there was the art....tears and more tears, never thought I'd see it and when I did my heart nearly exploded it was so full. Heathrow was an almost insurmountable obstacle with its endless security. My body, thanks to my new hip was patted down more times and better than any doctor has ever done. The men are....primo bellissimo....and so friendly! We were nearing 30 hours of awake time when we went through the last security check at Heathrow and were pulled aside and given a new seating assignment....FIRST F..KNG CLASS. We had planned to sleep but decided this may never happen again so enjoyed the champagne, wine, food, attention for the full 11 hrs. Spoiled forever now for economy travel... It was all, say it with me...bellissimo.

Congratulations Lostnfound Studio

Congratulations Laurie and Nadia on the birth of your baby Lostnfound Studio. This is a long overdue and much anticipated launching of two of my favorite, creative and just plain fun artists. All of us at Madonnart Studio raise a glass of Perrier in celebration and wish you much success on your new creative journey.

Reorganizing the organized

Today I came down from the Migraine high/sugar stupor and was alert enough to note I had nothing hanging in my closet. Dave was wearing his usual black pants and Navy blue uniform so he was safe. Dula was asleep in a sunbeam with a small puff of fluff hanging out of her mouth, remnant of a barney, not her.Sarah and her clean sweep crew were still in Edmonton working against a time limit as Dwayne would be home in 4days 6 hours and 45 minutes. They were safe. WTH, I was only away from my watch for 20 maybe 24 hours and in the room where the missing clothes lived, surely I would of heard them leaving. My usual demeanor of calm, optimistic joy was gone...Dave was responsible and I called him on it!!! Later after he directed me to the spare room where all my clothes were heaped on the bed, I recalled my fit of frantic packing frustration just moments before the feeding frenzy then migraine hit. I'm going back to bed.

Rome...2 weeks and counting

Leaving for Rome soon, hopefully after my tendonitis clears, I find a suitable suitcase and my black pants fit. Family are nearing trip saturation levels and now just madly start channel surfing when I enter a room or create their own telephone static and hang up. Today, I will try on my vintage collection of black pants and make a decision. Dave started humming to himself last week so seems quite distressed I am soon to leave him on his own. Overall,I need to get on with it.

Ditched!

Yes, as hard as it is to believe that there are people who can live without my company, it has finally happened. My presence is NOT required on site for the Road Trip; instead I have been delagated to Childcare. You know these dear children really are "my chosen people", and it will be a wonderfull opportunity to teach them more of my traditions [chocolate chip puffed wheat pop corn, double fried glazed donuts, baked crispy popcorn]...so many and so little time, maybe I should stay longer?

The best day

How can you lose track of how good it feels to be creative or better still the pure joy of creative time spent with a friend. We planned, ate, beaded, surfed art sites and formulated a plan for the future. It was an amazing uninterrupted 8 hours which could only have been made better with the addition of my smart girl, Laurie and Auntie Rita.
