If you know me, you know of my devotion to two men of Canadian Media.Those being my boyfriend, George Stromolopolous and Jian Ghomeshi of Q fame. K'Naan held a unheard of 1 hr interview with Jian on April 26th....amazing to say the least. K'Naan is a modern day poet of limitless humanitarian bounds and an intensely talented musician in spite of his long battle with depression. Church ramblings

Father Dave is less than a stellar speaker which allows many of us in his captive audience to drift off in thoughts other than (yesterdays sermon) The need for youth to follow a vocation into the Priesthood.I had this daydream of wondering... what if we suddenly looked like we did 40 years ago. Would love to see the 80 year old biker dude and his biker mama in leathers and bandannas. Their colorful and faded tats and long grey ponytails give me inklings of a secret exciting youth.The very crooked and arthritic cowboy who sits in front of me, wearing very new jeans and western shirt snapped up tight under his chin with a horse head Bollo tie can no longer kneel. His soiled black cowboy hat and boots scuffed from spurs have a tale to tell. Always had dreams...read fantasies (wink, wink)about tall, ripped, blond cowboys..hmmm apparently still do. I do so love my weekly church moments and the peace it brings me.........

Is there an Artist living here?

Where or where does art hide? I am thinking under the stack of todo filing, in the less is more pile, included in the 4 bags of garbage or under the shoes....18 pairs to be exact....shoes belonging to the OD. Today, I begin the job of finding Art, then making art should follow....right?

Still April???

Got the memo that it is still April so in keeping with the whole low profile vib, I have occupied myself with work close to home.....income tax, gardening, friends in for dinner etc. The Fax has not groaned for 2 days and ER phone calls have dwindled to a scant 3 calls on Monday. I am starting to think THE DREAM might become a reality. Only 10 days to go and then off to Edmonton for a month to assist with the big move, Birthdays, Graduation and a possible wedding.......10 days.....just 10 days.
