The Name Game
I was born Marilyn Gail, Adopted and renamed Margaret Jean but called Margy by my father,...Moage by my mother when good, MARGARETT when bad and Marg by my brother. My best friend also called me Moage, my father in law Marge and my husband Marg when good and MARGARETTT when pissed at me.My daughter will shout MARGARET!! when trying to find me in a crowd and a dear friend from the best place we had ever lived called me Maggie May. My Father in law kind of summed it up when he said "just don't call me late for dinner". I call myself Magical Princess Angel Wings........

Amazing
For the last 2 years I and many others have followed the difficult and courageous comeback of Stephanie Neilson those who love and admire her call her Nie Nie. Nie Nie has generously included us in her comeback....the highs and the lows and always the inspiring tales of her journey. If you have a bit of time one day go to her Blog, The Nie Nie Dialogues and read through her story. Today an exhilarated Nie shows a video of her first time back at skiing, a Ski Patrol member in the time before her accident....this was a tear jerker.....

MORE
Another 2 months of hell and stretching ahead. I feel like this and am mad as a hornet to think I am stuck with this rigid program 4 days a week. I have to do this crap until I have 180 degrees in my arm....then and only then will Kid Doctor replace the other shoulder. Sounds like a bully dosn't he?

Guilty
Yesterday my 911 call was answered and I was saved. Purdy's in the quantity usually seen in a fund raiser for high schools and junior hockey teams arrived in its shiny foil wrap.....I like shiny. I felt safe, relieved I had not committed a heinous crime and loved....Later....1 coconut bar, 2 Sweet Georgia Browns,3 chocolate salted pretzels and 3 snowballs I felt a tad guilty and was nearly comatose. I contemplated calling Dr. Drew and turning myself in....but then I found this Thank you dear family.

Odd....how men plan and host an event
The Do was lovely. It was an event planned by Organic Dude and his bud Pat; a delish Valentines dinner for the Gyro ladies and included chocolate and red roses. I enjoyed the evening almost as much as I enjoyed watching the men plan the event...no I lie the watching was the best part. One month ago my Gyro was asked if he would host the Valentine Ladies Evening (a Gyro never says no) and he, wise man that he is wanted to share the joy read possible knocks with his good buddy, Pat. Pat agreed then promptly left for a 3 week stay in sunny California. OD found a venue, discussed cost, got a head count for numbers attending, bought chocolate, red jelly beans, and an assortment of lotions and soaps for giveaways for the ladies. Pat returned arranged the menu and finalized the cost and numbers. That done, the dust settled until 45 minutes before we were to be at the dinner. Then the real fun began..................
1. the hunt for the bow tie
2. Finding the right red shirt
3. Reminder to bring name pins
4. Finding and wrapping the 8 crystal candy dishes
5. Finding a basket for the lotions
6. Finding a red scarf for inside said basket
7. Finding the chocolate
8. finding the camera and phoning for back up camera
9. Calling to arrange door prize
10. Finding bag big enough to carry the above
Forgotten....name tags and tickets......be aware sweating, swearing and sorrys happened before all the Valentine love started.

I am a woman
"Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I'm telling lies.
I say,
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me."
— Maya Angelou (Phenomenal Woman: Four Poems Celebrating Women)
Yes ....my clothes are fitting a tad tight and I have a dress up Do tonight and have turned to Maya for some centering.....

Where I've lived before
So.... what's your thinking on reincarnation? Believer? Non believer? Think anyone who does believe is nutso? If the latter is your deal then perhaps you best leave this site and meander over to Perez....I have followed these 50 something retired, Stewards of the land folk for 3 years now and there are times I am damn sure I lived the life of the happy trapper. Well I might exaggerate a tad and say I came very close considering the hunting cabin experience of my youth. The feeling of deja vous also accompanies times when I have breathed in the moist, fragrant air of an indoor arena in the early hours of morning or the hot grassy smell of a high bench (thinking Cypress Hills here) in the late summer....I lived here once....a cowboy, a woodsman, and a horse trainer.....I'm sure....what about you?
